Barrio furled tapered leaders have been designed to smooth the transition of energy from your fly line to your tippet.
Tapers dissipate energy and help to control turnover, which leads to improved delivery and presentation of your fly.
Our furled tapered leaders are available in two lengths and presentation types.
Length: 5 ft Presentation Type: Light
Length: 5 ft Presentation Type: Medium

The light presentation leaders are for the more delicate presentation of smaller flies with a corresponding lower diameter tippet.
The medium presentation leaders are for a slightly more powerful turnover of larger, bushier flies and a corresponding higher diameter tippet.
Our furled tapered leaders are easy to use, simply attach the leader to your fly line with a loop to loop connection and then tie your chosen length of tippet to the seamless ring. The leaders fish well with 2 to 7 ft of tippet, but some of you might find that you can enjoy fishing slightly longer.
Made with furled fine monofilament strands, our leaders are strong, long lasting, supple, and have very little memory compared to a standard mono tapered leader. They also have a level of shock absorbing elasticity that is really useful for protecting fine tippets.

Practical Tips
If the leader is twisted, simply stretch it lightly in short arm lengths like you would a mono tapered leader, it will soon be straight and supple.
Longer lengths of leader and tippet fish well in ideal conditions, shorter lengths can be helpful in windy conditions and easier for beginners.
